David Lloyd's Final Expenses

I am (Geoffrey) Ryan Lloyd of the Lloyd family, out of Seiling, Oklahoma. On Thursday, August 26th, 2021, we lost a very special man.

My father, David "Crockett" Lloyd, was an accomplished carpenter, electrician, plumber, bricklayer and machine operator/mechanic. He worked many years in the oilfields of Texas and Oklahoma as a drilling rig hand for several of the most reputable oilfield companies and eventually became a roustabout foreman. His set of acquired skills and level of knowledge of the machines he operated kept him always working throughout his adult life. His quality of work kept him long hours away from his family. Backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, trench-cutting machines, semi trucks, cranes, tractors, scrapers, road grader and any other earth-moving equipment you can name, he could operate not just well, but with a knowledge of the machines to a mastery level of efficiency of machine and of himself. There was almost nothing he could not build or repair; almost nothing for which he could not find a solution. He was a farmer. He helped his mother-in-law farm, as well as his father and grandfathers. My father built many houses. The most recent being his father's house after a devastating wildfire in western Oklahoma. He built his mother-in-law two different homes, as well as the home in which my parents lived and raised us. He never refused to help anyone who needed it, with or without asking. He never raised his hand or his voice in any circumstance. If you knew him, you knew kindness. You knew a hard-working, happy person that was always smiling. His children and grandchildren are his greatest pride. In response to the question, "Do you have anything to add to the GoFundMe page?" our brother, Clint Lloyd replied, "I want everyone to know he was The Family Man of Family Men."

He was a mountain, our rock, our king, standing 6'1" at 380 pounds. He was our teacher and his voice had all the answers. He was our greatest friend and biggest support in life. These are just a few qualities, a very short list of attributes belonging to the greatest man we've known, whom many loved and cherished dearly. Anyone that knew him can and would say, "He is the best of the best."

We are asking for assistance to cover the funeral and burial costs. The total bill is $9,526.36.

If we can raise the money by Friday, September 3rd and pay the bill on or before Saturday the 4th, the total due will only be $9,279.16.

Myself and my sister, Maggie, are and will be in charge of ensuring the proper use of any funds raised. Thank you for your concern and generosity.
